Have you ever felt that creating a YouTube video is more challenging than making a TikTok video? Those days are over! YouTube is introducing the new
that has been specifically developed to facilitate the creation of Shorts, YouTube's answer to TikTok videos.
With the launch of the new app, YouTube Create, YouTube is taking a significant step in the video market. This user-friendly app is designed to simplify video editing and sharpen the competition with TikTok. After all, TikTok is known for its ease of use, and with this new app, YouTube hopes to provide a similar experience.
Introducing a separate app is not new. It resembles TikTok’s strategy with the popular CapCut app. The YouTube Create app, developed with input from 3,000 creators, allows users to easily create and edit videos directly from their smartphones. It includes features such as trimming, automatic subtitles, voice-over, and the ability to remove unwanted background noise. Additionally, users gain access to an extensive library of filters, effects, transitions, and royalty-free music with beat matching technology, inspired by TikTok.
The app is free and currently available as a beta version on Android in selected countries. iOS users will have to wait until next year. The launch is part of YouTube's Made on YouTube event, where new AI-driven features were also presented.
YouTube Create could have a significant impact on businesses and organizations in the world of video marketing. Simplifying the production process may lead to more Shorts and thus greater brand visibility on the platform. Furthermore, the app makes it easier to create high-quality content.
Although Dutch and Belgian users will have to wait a bit longer, as these features are still in the beta phase and not yet available in these regions, expectations are high and excitement is palpable. Which of these new features are you most looking forward to?
