WordPress released the new WordPress version 4.9.8 on Aug. 2. This update has been good for WordPress maintenance with 46 bug fixes and improvements made. This update is important for a well-functioning website.

New editor

When you have the new version, you'll probably get a "Try Gutenberg" notification in your dashboard. That's what the new editor is called. You can then start using the Gutenberg editor to create content. Officially, this editor will not be released until WordPress version 5.0 is released.
