The LinkedIn Events feature allows you to easily create professional events. As a member, this makes it easier to participate in interesting, business events. Thanks to this feature, active, professional communities can grow by building authentic, (face-to-face) relationships. Your target audience can connect online with other members, with the same interests, and meet offline in a professional manner.
Anyone can participate in a public or private event, if they are invited by the organizer or an invitee, or if the event is shared by a connection.
The LinkedIn Events feature has two roles:
The organizer: this person organizes the event by creating the event in LinkedIn, setting the details and inviting members.
The invitee: this is a member who accepts the invitation to participate in the event, or someone who has registered at a public event.
Once you have created a professional event, you can then add and change the event details at any time. You can learn more about event details here.
Both organizers and invitees can send invitations to connections. Only if an event is private should the organizer give participants permission to invite their connections. Only the organizer can revoke an invitation or remove a participant from the list.
When an invitation to an event is accepted, one enters a list of members who will also be attending the event. This is the ideal place to meet other professionals like you. You can interact with them and expand your (LinkedIn) network even before you meet at the event. There may be new business opportunities here!
You can also get involved in discussions with other participants by starting conversations and participating in the event feed.
